1960s
Brian Epstein turns down an offer of $3.5 million pounds (approximately $5.6 million U.S.) from a group of U.S. businessmen for The Beatles management contract. 1964

The Beatles Saturday morning cartoon show premiers. The group`s look on the show is right out of "A Hard Day`s Night." The show uses Beatle songs but actors dub the voices. It runs for four years. 1965

The Yardbirds` "Heart Full Of Soul" sneaks into the Top 10 (#9) while the Animals` "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" peaks at #13. 1965

The Beatles record "Fool On The Hill." 1967

1970s
One of the weakest studio albums in the Rolling Stones pre-80s catalog "Goat`s Head Soup" goes gold. 1973

Boston`s self-titled debut album enters the charts. The side one songs ("More Than A Feeling," "Peace Of Mind" and "Foreplay/Long Time") make it one of the fastest selling albums in history. Also, Blue Oyster Cult`s "Agents Of Fortune" hits the LP charts. 1976

The Eagles release another hit album "The Long Run." 1979

1980s
Led Zeppelin drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham dies after choking in his sleep following excessive vodka drinking. 1980

The Rolling Stones start their U.S. tour in Philadelphia. The tour is filmed and released as "Let`s Spend The Night Together." Meanwhile, Don Henley releases "I Can`t Stand Still." It`s the ex-Eagle`s first solo effort and contains the TV news bashing "Dirty Laundry." There`s more, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts peak at #20 with a cover of Gary Glitter`s "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)." 1982

1990s
Little Richard gets a street named after him in his native Macon. 1990

John Mellencamp`s "Human Wheels" begins its climb up the album charts. 1993

2000s
Robert Palmer dies in Paris of a heart attack. Best known for the hits "Bad Case Of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)" and "Addicted To Love," Palmer also fronted Power Station. He was 54. Also, The 3rd generation of Styx begins with the announcement that Ricky Phillips, formerly with Bad English and The Babys, has joined the group, replacing departing guitarist/vocalist Glen Burtnik (2nd generation). Burtnik started his Styx career as a replacement for Tommy Shaw (1st generation). 2003

I think Equinox was/is a great LP. I went through about three copies of that LP.
