a buddy and his wife brought their unrestored Indy Pace Car....her dad bought the car new...

me, giving some last minute driving instructions ....she drove my Kandi Kat in the parade...

no shortage of MOPARS in New Castle parades...

my old Panther Pink Challenger T/A was there too....

this old Plymouth had a breakdown the last few blocks of the parade....

some really old people made it to the parade...

one last wave to a wagon load of beauty queens before we go...

and finally, here we go ...heading out to the start of the parade with millions of adoring fans yelling and waving...

Larry

Great photos, but how come Cookie wasn't up for Homecoming Queen?

I think it's pretty amazing that you still have "buddies" after all of these years!!!

When you said some "really old people" made it the parade, I was expecting to see your picture.

Larry ... good show! Specially interested in the second to last shot showing the significant optimism of those lovely young girls in the quality of their Trojans!

...Cookie, being an ex-cheerleader, wanted to ride a float in the parade, but there were size and weight restrictions on the trailers....insulted and forlorn, she stayed at home and downed a few more Twinkies .....

...Bob, I wasn't always an a$$hole, it just started after decades of marriage

next parade we will have the Kats equiped to load walkers and wheelchairs.....portable oxygen tanks are on order too....seriously, there was a room set aside for members from the class of 1920-1929 in the highschool....amazing, none showed up

....the millions, well, they were just around the next corner....

...pictured here are several thousand of the parade watchers marveling at the skill and tenacity of "Scruffy the Wonder Dog".....Scruffy thirlled the crowd for hours with his antics...his most popular stunt is launching the scooter from a small ramp and clearing 17 school busses....

homecoming parade/events organizer Claude Neverlaid said the parade was among the best he has ever observed....

Alley Cat Salzman(on the right) and his buddy Ratso rode the bus for several days and nights all the way from Mesa, Arizona just to observe the New Castle Homecoming event....

the "Lucid Eye', barking out a few orders to the local K-9 Police Unit before the parade....

their motto for the day...."no biting the kids, no damp fire hydrants and no turds left behind"

......no truck powerful enough to drag her big a$$ down the street...

she spent some time in Arizona last year and came home extremely disappointed....she said it looked like one, only lots smaller than she had ever seen before...something about him being hung like a second grader...

To all who drive Prowlers with Homecoming queens: "Turn inside rear view mirror as far to the left as possible." Remember. A lot of them are NOT legally of age yet!
