Bama Kat Prowler Junkie Posts: 464 From: Pleasant Grove, AL Registered: OCT 2004	posted 09-01-2005 09:52 AM On yesterday 5:00 local news they said there was a gas shortage & that the governor asked all government vehicles to only drive if it could not be avoided. this caused a panic & there were hour long lines at the gas stations last night. 87 octane went from 2.49 to 2.75 & alot of stations sold out of 87 & 89 octane. I think the media caused the panic, there may have been a shortage but when they broadcast it people are going to panic and fill up even if they don't really need too & none of the stations would be out of gas this morning. now there is a real shortage!
