on his 49th birthday, August 9, 2005....

...too many years of alcohol finally took it's toll....
...too many partys....
...too many auto accidents and injuries, he was pronounced dead at one particular drag racing accident...
...too many drugs...
...way too much time in prison...

...too many excesses in life, but he was a hell of a friend when he was straight...

...the type of guy that would show up at your house at 3am, totally ripped, to play and sing the new Kansas album for you(whether you wanted to hear it or not)...also the type guy that would give you half his sandwich if you were hungry...he worked with me many times, I would fire him, then hire him back a few days later when he was sober...

...he left an ex wife, a daughter and 3 grandchildren...4 sisters and many many friends....

...so long Hollywood....hope the next run treats you better....

...Hollywood was my cousin...

I feel your pain...I lost one just like that several years ago...he was 48. Drank 2 quarts of Old Charter every day. He was the best salesman I ever met. RIP Bill Ashmore from Grand Prarie, Tx.

I have not posted much the past two days,,,,,one of my best friends growing up in Lincoln, Nebraska, lost his wife Pat to cancer late tuesday evening. Pat Robinson, age 59, was a quiet, shy person but brought a life of joy to my friend John. They had no children together, but their lives were forever happy. Pat and John, you are in my thoughts and prayers

God Bless,
Larry

Sorry, for your loss. It's been a tough year on members, family members and friends. Lost my brother earlier in the year. Death is never expected or easy. Hold on to the good memories.

Tangled ... sorry about your loss, and AC, your friend as well ... always sad to lose someone that is close, unique and of course a relative. I just learned that the mother (Sandy) of a girl I dated back in the 80's died of lung cancer - she was 61. I actually left Ameritech to work for her husband's company and she and I worked together .. started dating the "boss's daughter" then ... it was Sandy that suggested when asked, if I should get an engagement ring for her daughter or a new Vette in '87 ... without hesitation she said, I'ld get the Vette ... you can always marry my daughter! Great lady. All those that have passed will be missed by many.
