Check engine light on '03 PT turbo came on. Tech said a mouse ate the hose that connects back to gas tank and there was a leak? $300 and not under warranty. Ever had a mouse mess with your car?

BTW it is garaged and I have 3 cats and 1 Kat!

Sorry to hear about your problem, but I think I might have identified the mouse who ate your hose on the PT.

Yes, out here in New Mexico we have cactus rats and they can do a number on rubber.

Had a '70 Caddy surfmobile that sat a lot in front of the house.

Went to start it after a few weeks sitting, and found that some mice had built a big nest in the air cleaner housing...sucked one into the butterfly valve, a couple got ground up in the A/C belt and fan trying to escape, and, yes, they ate a goodly amount of wiring under the hood, and gnawed into the upper radiator house for water, too....

Had a customer with a new 66 Pontiac that had a rat get trapped in the fresh air vent. After a week or two, it got pretty ripe. The poor mechanic that had to clean it out sure earned his money that day. Talk about nasty!

We had a PT as a loaner a few months back and it also had a mouse in it. It ate part of the baby seat cover. The dealer paid for another cover but it makes me wonder now ...

Some how a mouse got into my dads Caprice's blower motor and made a nest. The motor was jamed up with all kinds of debris. He cursed GM cars until I pulled out the 'nest' and the motor was fine. To this day I can't figure out how the mouse got in and out. Dad didn't say a word after the incident.
