the microwave oven,,,,,,,,,,,or I go out for dinner with the homeless at the charity dining hall. That out of code meat and dumpster produce isn't as bad as you've heard stories about, lol.

I had to ASK for it. THEN, oh and you'll just LOVE this ... he is GLAD that she died there with him, the Vet as opposed to at home -- cause she would have, he says ... and then our daughter having that guilt of her death at home to deal with ... THIS GUY is a piece of work -- STAY AWAY from Elk Grove Pet Clinic in the Strawberry Plaza on Meachem at Biesterfield Road!!

Sorry you asked, Rick?

...just this evening, my wife cooked a wonderful pot roast.....after spitting out a few hairballs and getting choked on a flea collar, I finally decided McDonalds ain't that bad after all

ps....no one cooks at our house much anymore, no kids, no pets.....last time she fired up the oven the cobwebs caught on fire and we had to call the fire department

Since we both work and get home about the same time every night, we most times share the duties together...

Our kitchen was closed by the health dept. several years ago. Luckily we got some Federal Funds since it was declared a disaster area. We do not eat dinner at home even once a month. Sandy is actually a great cook. We just find it much easier and quicker to eat out. Probably not cheaper, though.
We have a family style restaraunt close by and we eat there and Cracker Barrel fairly often. We grill out once in awhile and I do that but Sandy does 90 % of the work, at least.

My wife is from Finland, where Women Rule. I like to cook and do most of the cooking in our house, not saying the wife cannot cook, it's just that way. My only problem is staying out of the dog house. My wife once brought home the book Women are from Venus,Men are from mars never read it, so she went and got the tape, so to please her I tried to listen to it, I started to giggle I guess and she asked me what was wrong, so I told her this Doctor sounds just like your hair dresser.

If CJ had to count on me to cook, we'd both starve. Thank God she does a great job. As for me, the only thing that I can make is reservations and that doesn't always pan out as many discovered at the Dells.

I get really tired having to deal with cooking dinner after working all day. My husband is a stay at home dad; we have 3 kids - all teenage boys. So we worked out a compromise (or should I say mom mandated a compromise ) We each have an assigned night for dinner. The 2 other nights are kind of loosely reserved as nights out - with Tuesday being pizza & pool night and Saturday being cruise night at the local diner.

This worked really well for a while. The two younger boys really got into it - even giving me lists of ingrediants to buy. But we kind of end up with lots of Kraft mac & cheese or tuna cassarole nights. We've kind of gotten out of this assigned night thing a bit -- but at least now I can usually get one of them to volunteer (with a little persuasion) to cook if I don't feel like it.

It's truly incredible [and interesting] to me to read how diabolically different many of our lives are, yet we all tend to think every other family does what we do! NOT! In my 42 years of marriage [to 3 very different women], I can truthfully say--not ever/not once did [we] ever have an assigned night for something: not at home or eating out. Friday was never fish night, for example. Saturday was never THE NIGHT OUT with either each other or other people! You'd think I'd be USED to soooo many differences between and amongst people, but at age 60, I continue to be amazed! Wow! How different we all are...to think we are ALL the same! Viva la Difference?

My wife and I both work more than the standard 40 hour week, usually not getting home before 6:30 or 7. We have a live in nanny who usually has dinner on the table when we get home. I do like to surprise her once in awhile and break fromt he office early and fix dinner myself.

Friday is always pizza night though. Think we will get a BBQ chicken pizza for tonight!

Norm took over cooking duties early on, after I burnt the eggs and the whites were still runny

Although I have gotten better, I now make a great omelette, and a few other edible items, Norm does 95% of all the cooking. I guess its because he likes to enjoy the food he eats and not have to say that it tastes great when he really doesn't mean it A lot fewer arguments, as well.

Works for me!

Pat
