Why is the media surprised that a $.20 a gallon increase is gasoline has not kept people for driving on vacations? I just saw another story on CNN (it may have been FoxNews) a couple of days ago that expressed "shock" that people would still drive on vacations. Perhaps the corespondent's calculator quit working I wanted to tell her that someone driving 1000 miles on vacation and gets 20 MPG will only spend an additional $10.00 on fuel if gas costs 20 cents more per gallon than last year. That's one less tee shirt, one less dessert or two less cocktail during an entire trip. For this they think people will cancel a vacation? Get real and report on something like why are more refineries not being built or what happened to ethanol?

Martini's are $7.50 now! I bought my first one last week while on vacation. I gave it back to the waiter and told him he could dump it down the toilet! It tasted just like watered down, cherry flavored NIQUIL!!!

Until our government leaders actually get serious about supporting the development of alternative sources of energy, we can all just continue to bend over and take from the Arabs!

Good news. Crude oil dropped and we should see lower prices reflected at the pump in 2 or 3 weeks, per today's paper. They can raise it the same day but it takes 2 or 3 weeks to lower it.

Isn't that the truth.
