What is a '49 Packard worth?
My son called and said a friend's dad bought a farm in Indiana and there was a 49 Packard sitting there that he wants to get rid of. Free for the taking. I have no idea what model or condition. We are going to go get it some day this week. It might be rusted beyond belief and totally worthless.
I am not up on old Packards. How many models were there in '49?

STUPID ANSWER (as usual)

...It has to be worth something on EBay

...1949 was many, many, many years before I was born....I have only seen and heard of Packards on the History Channel

Nuther "load of horse manure"!! Is it a '49 or '59...make up your mind Ed!! The '59 was a joint effort between Packard and Studebaker. Either one is worth some bucks to the street rodders.

The Old Packard Proving Grounds has been taken over by a group of Packard collectors. Try Google search, I know they have a web site. Located in Shelby Township/Utica, Michigan. It's also a nice 2-3 hour tour of the old facility! Van Dyke, nort of 22 mile road, west side of VD.

I had and sold my original 1949 custom eight convertible about 6 years ago for $34.900 but it was close to mint original 65k miles on it with spoked wire wheels .

Is it a super deluxe sedan or a super eight club sedan??, what's the condition, also like anything else if its a convertible, coupe or a station wagon its worth good money no matter what the condition.

They were dubbed the pregnant elephant.

Packard Production #s for 1949 were 116.995 cars according to my Packard Book.
starting On the low end for sedans $600.00 & up depending on condition???
hope this helps.
