Swede Savage died at Indy in 1973 in one of the most horrific accidents ever at the Speedway! What other sport did Swede Savage excel in before racing Indy Cars. (I was sitting in NW Vista when Swede hit the outside wall coming out of turn 4 and careened across the track striking the end of the wall that seperates the pit road from the track at over 200 MPH)

Spider Savitch was killed by Claudine Longet....another piece of trivia....the Rolling Stones made a song about the shooting called 'Claudine'...it was banned from most radio stations and recieved very little airplay....

thru the years I have owned about 30 of the Trams Am Challengers and AAR Cudas.....big fan of those cars and the era.....along with that came alot of trivia on the stars from that era....just lucky this time....
