Bob I found this: A time capsule containing a 1998 purple Plymouth Prowler and hundreds of other items stored beside it was buried at Centennial Park, 1028 E. Sixth St., the Jan. 18, 1998, World reported. The capsule is to be opened in 2048 during the city's 150th birthday. Those who open the capsule won't have to search for the car keys. They were left in the ignition switch.

I saw the year 1998 and had to question it, but that is exactly what is listed on the plaque. It's supposed to be one of the concept cars. You can find a picture of the plaque here: Tulsa Parks Link Very cool! I'll be at the event in 2007 and I'll be at the event in 2048 when they open the Prowler. I'll be 83 that year and I plan to drive my one owner Prowler to the event... This message has been edited by SuperDave on 06-23-2005 at 09:39 PM

tangled - that has to go down as one of the BEST POA post ever. with laughter** One correction: Ed will not have a "new" battery installed,,,,,,,he would opt to buy one of those 'previously owned',, $15 reconditioned battery, lol. This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 06-23-2005 at 08:34 AM

Joe Cappy was running the Thrifty/Dollar RAC operations there in Tulsa. He was very active in civic affairs. The company supported his request to donate a Prowler for the time capsule. I think that I may even know who has a record of the VIN. Even pre-production cars carry VIN's.
