No matter where I park, no matter how far I park away from another car, I always come out to find another car parked next to my Prowler.

I took my Prowler out for a ride, and stopped at a fast food restaurant. I parked the car in left field away from any other car. I watched the car as I went in for a drink, and no sooner did I walk in the front door, an old truck parked next to my Prowler. I just stood there in disbelief. Why would this person park next to my car, when there were at least 40 spaces closer to the restaurant?

I guess they just wanted to tick me off.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this same type of experience?

Thanks,
Howard

Why do you assume the worst? Chances are, they are just curious and probably don't know what it is or they wanted a closer look at it.

You should be flattered....

I believe that many times they are not thinking like we do. I agree with Yellow Fever that they are curious and just want to look at the car and then stay parked. Sometimes that can really bug you. Take a deep breath and don't park.....just drive. lol

Happens all the time to me also, One time I came out and found several young girls posing for photos with My car !
I told them that taking pic's was just fine but please do not sit on the car because the rivets in their jeans would really scratch it up. I worry about the " jealous gene pool of people who might accidentally scratch or dent it, wink, wink ...oop's"

Howard, that was not an old truck.
That was my 1930 model A.(Original miles of 935)
I have been parking there for the last 35 years and then along comes some car that looks like its from out of this world called "A Prowler" and it takes over my parking space.
I was wondering who the owner of that "Orange" thing belonged to...
Next time park it down the road.

i always try to find a spot between two nice new cars... and i never leave it for very long......
most folks around here are very respectfull ...
the gonads that get to close usually end up seeing me...

My mom said it best

"you just can't have nothing nice"

and

"people can't stand to see others do well"

NEVER! But I'm a mean-looking son-of-a-bitch with tattoos down each arm from shoulder to wrist! I 'dare' anyone to park next to it! Also, I always park taking up TWO spaces! So, call a cop! Never had any trouble with ANYONE parking next to it! Maybe you just look easy!

I figure most people want a look at the car but don't want the walk...then figure their '82 Yugo is safe from door dings on one side at least.

I've considered taking 2 spaces before also. Any thoughts on this? I'm afraid someone would be annoyed you did so and do something malicious just because of it

I do the same as long as the two spaces are a good distance away from the store or restaurant. I found if you take up two too close to the establishment...you're just asking for trouble.JMO

Hey...who knows...maybe they're just parking so close in hopes that the COOLNESS of the Prowler rubs off onto their ride.

I know when I see other people do it, it drives me nuts. I know there are kids out here that scratch cars that do that just for the hell of it.

If you are that worried about your car, you should leave it at home. Folks that park in two spaces are asking for trouble. My main mission in life is to let those, whom think they deserve special treatment, find out, Only your mom thinks your special. Now... All Together (with hand on Bible) I do solemnly swear to never use more than one parking space. Nor will ever use a handi-cap space while driving ( or parking) my Prowler. A-men.

God Bless America!

I guess a motor home can take as much room as they want, and more if they have their car in tow.

About a year ago I had gone to the storeand done the same as most do, parking it on the far side of the lot with no cars around. Went into the grocery store and got the few things I needed. On the way out I noticed this older lady had just finished unloading her cart and instead of taking it over to the cart area she just pushed it lightly over into the next parking spot. Well, you guested it, the cart started rolling. She paid it no mind and got into her big old Buick and started to leave. As I see this all happening I notice that the "KAT" is in direct line with the cart. I took off running as fast as I could go and got there about 30 seconds before it would of hit. Needless to say I was just a little more than pissed I usually don't yell at the elderly but this time I started screaming and flipping the bird at this old bird and she didn't have a clue as to what was going on, she just went on her way at about 10 miles an hour. What the hay!!!
