How about hitting the wall during the burnout, haven't seen that one in a while. I had to pass up a complete weekend package to the race, including custom motor coach, and everything. Too much work, what a drag. Good race. I was rooting for Bobby.

GAY (HAPPY) section.... Because this race 3 out of the 4 were in the top 6 and if 24 was not pushed out all 4 would have been there. and very GAY about it.

come to think of it. it can't be education as Kyle is only 19. must be good breeding as opposed to in breeding. BTW, did you hear the remark that Jimmy Spencer made after a post race interview with Kyle Busch? He remarked that Kyle was the good one of the bunch and Kurt was rough around the edges. Think that will start a family riff?
Another BTW--even after being knocked out of the past few races and 5 DNF's this year, guess who's the top money maker so far for the season? #24

Tony better watch out or he's going to get fined. I think I'm switching to Lowes for my house supplys. I've been shopping at Tony's sponser. I admire Jeffies driving, not his personality, but he's matured a bunch since his start. I'm not sure why some people hate him.It is because he didn't "pay his dues" and started winning right off the bat kicking the a$$ of the old timers? Maybe he should lose races all year to get public sentiment on his side.

you know Butchcee.... your right !
Thats probably the reason......
He's a hell'of'a driver.. I never questioned his tallent... its just that there are so many more drivers that i would like to see win...i'd like to see Kahne win some, McMurray, some of the kids.... just to see the look on their faces in the winners circle....priceless !

Al - I'm going to tell you the truth now,,,,,,,I watched Jeff when he was 16 or 17 [ESPN thursday night thunder] driving midgets, sprint cars, and USAC Crown series, and seen he was one helluva driver. I enjoyed seeing him run and win races. When he got the call to go Cup racing with a great team,,,,I was pissed/off,,,,because I wanted him to go into CART or IRL series to see how he would do. I didn't know it at the time,,,but it seems the Indy car teams wouldn't give him a ride for whatever reason, so he went to the cup ride. Knowing this now,,,I don't blame him, but yes, I feel he didn't pay his dues to be on a contender Cup team right from the beginning. I only root against him because: 1. I'm not a Chevy fan,,,and 2. You like him Got to keep you honest!

I know he can drive,,,,drives well,,,see I can admit that. Still cheering for everyone to beat him, lol.

Now don't get me started on Little E,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The REAL redneck one tooth wonders here in the Carolinas/Virginias, and in most parts of the country, (yes ALL kinds follow NASCAR, but REAL necks claim the sport as their birthright) hate Gordon because they love their own. Their own are the uneducated rough *** school of hard knocks guys like Dale Earnhardt, Junior Johnson, Cale Yarbough, Curtis Turner, Fireball Roberts etc. Guys who didn't finish high school, run moonshine, would put a competitor in the wall if that what it took to win and would jump out of their car and kick your a** if you tried to put them into the wall.

Gordon came on the scene with talent, was from open wheel racing, was backed by a great team and great equipment, was handsome with a beautiful wife, could speak and present himself professionally and was NOT from a Carolina mill town or farm. Jeffy is NOT one of their own and they think he was born with a silver spoon and hasn't paid his dues. PLUS, he was beating their man in the #3! He was the right man, at the right time for NASCAR since they wanted and needed to take the sport nationally and internationally, but was/is the guy the Earnhardt legions hated.

Women were the first to embrace Gordon, while their husband were fans of Dale Sr. and are now Jr. fans. Chevy guys then began accepting Jeffy because he was winning with their brand.

I grew up a Petty fan. I'm have been for several years a Dale Jarrett fan. More so for the type of guys they are than for their talents or accomplishments. I've had the opportunity to work in charity endeavors and in business with many people in racing and Richard Petty and Dale Jarrett are class acts.

I know one should never root against anyone, but I have a fault in that I always pulled against Dale Sr. and hope in each race that Michael Waltrip finishes ahead of the 8 car.
