No. That's my dad and some of his Bud's. They are all gone now. Just going thru some old family pic's. Thought that maybe they would interest some. This is from 1914. My great-grandparents, my grandparents and my Dad and his two brothers and one sister. My dad in the driver's lap. How about that car? Anyone able to guess where this pic was taken?

This 1885 Daimler Reitwagen (Riding car) was built as an experimental vehicle to test the new Daimler engine. This engine was to power the first motorized carriage the following year. Imagine that! The first motorcycle was built and ridden a whole year BEFORE the first automobile!

Bill that's really great to have pictures like that to remember family. Always wished I had a few more of the old ones.

Chromer, You gotta be kidding about the make-model and year of their rides. I'm not that much up on motorcycles. Riders from left to right: Teddy Aulgur, Marshall F. Coffman (my uncle), ?, Ralph Hulen, Ted Coffman (my dad). Not too sure who that is in the middle.

This is the family ranch in SW Kansas. (Elkhart-Richfield area) My grandfather had 16 sections under fence and 24 sections unfenced. Raised cattle, practiced medicine. Had the Ford and Chevrolet dealerships,That is my great-grandparents seated on the porch. My grandfather standing on the porch. My grandmother seated in the front yard holding my uncle, and my aunt standing in front of her. This photo was taken in 1908. Later, my grand-dad sold the ranch and moved back here to Marshall, Mo. That is where my grandmother's family had farmland. There are gas and oil wells on the land now. I don't think my grandparents knew there was oil on their land there. They did have artesion (?) wells. After having 2 more kids, my dad and one more son, my grandmother wanted to leave the windy prairies and move back closer to her family. This message has been edited by Bcoffman Gray Ghost on 06-08-2005 at 04:58 PM
