Howard Morris, 1919-2005.....

...an amazing career spanning decades......his greatest volume of work was doing various cartoon voices.....but Howard is most remembered for the few episodes(four I think) playing the uncontrollable ErnestT. Bass on the Andy Griffith show....

"it's me, it's me, Ernest T....Ernest T. Bass, gonna break yer winder"....I remember watching that episode as a kid with my dad.....he laughed for days about Ernest T.....great shows.....

Yup ... he was a "memorable" goof-ball! Seems like a wave of celebrities passing away.

It was hard to believe that anyone could upstage Barney, but he always did. Ah the good ole days when TV was watchable and enjoyable. Rest in Peace Ernest T and thanks for the laughs!

I use to come home from eight hours of tension at the office, grab a cold beer and sit down and watch the Andy Griffith show. Always helped to bring me back down to earth and made a more enjoyable evening. That was in my opinion the best thing to ever come out of the TV!
Ernest T. Bass was great.I loved the one where he got his diploma for special learning and Barney cried at the presentation.

Gonna miss 'ol Ernest. Quite a memorable character for only four shows. Sorry to learn of his passing.

Similar experience, Larry...makes ya feel weird OUTlivin' one's dad! Mine died at age 52...I'm 60...but...I don't smoke OR drink alcohol...both of which CAN make a huge difference!
