I'm out at No Problem helping them with the Cajun SportsNational... Around 575 cars out at track. The Lucas Oil Top Fuel Dragster is running exhibition runs and tonight ran a 4.70 & 312 mph - new record for us down here in the Bayou State (the old record was 305 mph set last year by Darrell Russel in Joe Amato Top Fuel exhibition car)... The Top Fuel cars haven't raced here in 10 years or so since the speeds have gone up... The fastest group of cars is the ProMods and they're running low 6s... Eliminations & finals tomorrow. Tonight they're running a little side Bracket race (E & NonE). Weather is perfect and lots of race fans... ESPN2 is filming along with Horsepower TV... These Pro Mod cars are noisy.... |
