I received an email yesterday from a fellow Prowler owner here in Michigan. He was responding to my post about the Chrysler event at the end of this month. He and his wife would very much like to go, but he told me that she has been battling breast cancer for several months now. He's not sure if they will be able to attend. I asked for permission to post this to ask everyone here to keep her in their thoughts and prayers and to pray for a speedy recovery for her. I thought that if she could see that she had another "family" who cared, it might lift her spirits a bit. He gave me permission but asked that I not use their names....and I respect their wishes for privacy.

Please join me in saying a prayer for a speedy and complete recovery for her from this awful disease.

In addition, I told him that some weekend soon, I'd like to get together a bunch of the Michigan owners to take a cruise to see them for a day. He said he thought that would be great and will let me know when a good time would be. If any of the Michigan owners are interested in joining me, please let me know.

CJ.....thanks for posting this. I for one can certainly sympathize with what they are experiencing as I am a breast cancer survivor since my diagnosis in '95 and proof that the treatments certainly can work.
I pray for a full and complete recovery and many, many more happy Prowlin' days for you!!

Nancy

Hey CJ,

1) Would you mind if Carol & I (and other members) sent a card to you so that you could package them together & forward them on? (If need be) her name could be kept annonymous. We could just address it as "Speedy Recovery
in care of", or what ever you suggest. We are a community and we do support each other.

2) A friend's daughter recently returned home after walking around the world to promote breast cancer awareness. She stopped here in Port Huron on her way home. What an incredible woman! Her website is: www.globalwalk.org
An incredible site you can get lost in. (Imagine what it must have been like to be a blond haired American, alone, in a Muslim country during 9-11?) Irv is incredibly proud of his daughter.

Pass this on to your friend.

Ed & Carol W

Yes, Ed, if anyone would like to send a card to her, I will be happy to forward them to her. I'm sure that would be greatly appreciated.

You can mail to me at:

I'm counting on the Michigan people to cruise on over sometime for a visit. He works two weekends out of the month, so he indicated he would let me know what weekend would be a good one for them. As soon as I know, I will let everyone else know.

To those who have already posted.....thank you for your kind wishes.

Dixie Cat.....I'm sure it will be very uplifting to her to hear from a breast cancer survivor. I pray for you, too, that you will continue to stay free of this disease so that you will have many more prowlin' days too!

How shall we address it, as far as the person,
any suggestions as to what to put on the address
side of the envelope, so you know what it's for?

My younger sister had breast cancer. It has been 2 1/2 years now. She seems to be doing fine. The power of prayer certainly helps. We will include our Michigan friend in our prayers.

Ed or anyone else.........just send a card or note..you don't have to put a name on it. Mail it in a manila envelope to me. I will collect the cards, and mail them all in one larger envelope to her. Thanks...
