I had a bunch of car pics that I thought I had copies of. I deleted them and then dumped my Recycle Bin. Now, I find my copies are no good (messed up my CD). Any ideas how to find the deleted files? I think there are ways to recover deleted files from the hard drive. How do I go about doing this?

If you know the names of the files, you could put one of them in the search feature and see what comes up.Chances are they're lost. I don't think a system restore to an earlier date would work, but you could try it. I hope they're hiding somewhere.

Try this link to download a freeware program (assuming you are using a Windoze machine). Restoration v2.5.14 It may help you undelete the file. Also, some digital cameras came with a program called File-Rescue to retrieve files from reformatted cards. Maybe you'll be lucky and have a copy. I use Norton System Works and it has a built in file undeleter.
