Yeah, my usually reliable source for breaking news had me running off to the TV and all ... at least as of a half hour ago he is still with us in body and soul.

I'm not a Catholic, so I can't speak from that perspective, but I respect John Paul II because he stands firm on the traditional values of the church and never has been taken off this track by the modern secular culture.

Hold on...Congress is going to get involved and pass a bill to insert a feeding tube ! Not a good comment at this time. The Pope served his position for the world very well. Catholic or not.

I'm not at all religeous but he was indeed a great man. I nominate Larry Salzman as the successor to Pope John Paul II. Pope Larry I...kinda has a ring to it....
