Steve Perry - lead singer,,,went off on his own - Oh Sherry! a hit,,,maybe another one,,then gone into the sunset. REO Speedwagon used to play in New Castle at a local bar.... I didn't like Styx, Boston, Journey, REO....pretty much any group the singer sounded like his nuts were in a vice I passed on... ...Cookie was just a school age babe in the eighties......she tells me she is still 29 years old

I went to high school in the mid 60's, but The Clash was a band that I think many groups today derive a lot of influence from... What set them apart was they were angry and high energy, something missing in music since the 60s.
