NO,,,,,,,tell Cookie to go back to sleep,,,she is ruining your concentration one more clue: Lead singer left the band and went out on his own to record. Had one or two average songs on the charts,,,but then faded away. The group was huge at one time,,,many concerts.

"Cookie, keep your motor runnin'""Don't Stop Believin'".....Journey.....??? have to admit....eighties music is my weak spot.... ....I knew the line, "some will win, some will lose"..... and the clue about the "south side of Detroit".....I could hear the song, but I could only hear a line or two....it came to me this afternoon, then I noticed the "don't stop" clue......still don't remember the train sounds.... ...now I could hear the song, but REO kept runnin' thru my mind(hate REO).....don't like Journey too well either for that matter.... no idea who the lead singer was either..... ...in the eighties, I still listened to sixties rock all the time.....I thought Jim Morrison was really going to come back to life.....I listened to "the Doors" all the time with a sprinkling of "Traffic", "Cream" and the other oldies.....I pretty much missed the eighties....ON PURPOSE This message has been edited by tangled up in BLUE on 03-21-2005 at 05:59 PM

ElTacoBell wins another trivia contest,,,,,even if I made him work for this one, lol.Good job el Taco Actually,,,it was midnite train going,,,,,,,,that was too powerful of a clue. Steve Perry - lead singer,,,went off on his own - Oh Sherry! a hit,,,maybe another one,,then gone into the sunset. BTW - Cookie agreed,,,,your weak G-spot arousal technics started in the 80's and has continued on to the present, This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 03-21-2005 at 07:44 PM

yep, remember Steve Perry......didn't care for his stuff either...REO Speedwagon used to play in New Castle at a local bar.... I didn't like Styx, Boston, Journey, REO....pretty much any group the singer sounded like his nuts were in a vice I passed on...
...Cookie was just a school age babe in the eighties......she tells me she is still 29 years old

I think the most important band in the 80s was The Clash! I went to high school in the mid 60's, but The Clash was a band that I think many groups today derive a lot of influence from...What set them apart was they were angry and high energy, something missing in music since the 60s.
