500 points for this one and promotion to music wizard.....

the song was released in the sixties....

the song name was the same as the groups name...

the flip side was the song played backwards and spelled backwards....

member of the group was a popular teen tv sitcom star of the sixties too....

That would be Dr. Demento's hit "They're Coming To Take Me Away, ha ha" The flip side was the same song played backwards. I owned that 45 and I used to sign along with the backwards version after a couple shots...

Miller needs to be excluded from these music contests,,,,so us morons have a chance to play. **

** I wouldn't have got it anyway, lol.

Lets play tag team,,,,and I get Mike Gatlin on my side. If I can't cheat/win with a former DJ on my side,,,,,I don't deserve to play

Nina had 99 Lufballoons; I have that CD...I still like that music.

I remember "A Question of Temperature" by the Balloon Farm, but that's not the answer...I just thinking out loud.

The only other "balloon" group I recall ever hearing about was a group called "Yellow Balloon(s)" but I don't know anything by them.

Bob....you scored a win ......

song...."Yellow Balloon"...group, Yellow Balloon

flip side....Noollab Wolley"...song played backwards

I still have the 45 somewhere in the archives

Don Grady(My Three Sons/Robbie Douglas) put the group together with some friends and they had a hit....he toured with a blonde wig so the TV fans wouldn't chase him.....

Alley Cat tells me the answer is Don Grady. Was a Mouseketeer, #2 son on My Three Sons, played drums and sang with "Yellow Balloon!"

My taxable income hasn't changed much but spendable income has taken a nosedive! Was, am and always will be available to have strangers make house payments for me, trips and sweeties are more difficult now.
