Well after being extremely sick for a whole week and a trip to the Emergency room, they finally took Jerry's gallbladder out today. Been a long week for both of us. Started out last Saturday, he thought he had a bad case of the flu. Tuesday night he was getting worse. Wednesday he went to Urgent Care and they sent him to Emergency. After six hours, told us since it was not life threatening, they were not going to do anything. (his doctor only does surgery on Monday's.) Gave him some medication. Made an appointment for Friday to visit the doctor. Well the medication only lasted a few hours and he was back to extreme pain and throwing up. Thursday, got him some new medication. Had a great evening together. By 1:00am he was going down hill quick. So Friday, he went to his 8:30 appointment. At 8:40 he was at the hospital. They took him to surgery at 2:00. When he came out, he was doing really well. They showed me his pictures. The gallbladder was rotting and dying. If any of you ever get to feeling bad and the doctors cannot and will not do anything, be very persistent with them. Do not let them put off helping you. Anyway, want to share my week with you all. Had to come home, so I can get a good nights sleep. Been awhile. Well of to bed.... Kim ------------------

Glad Jerry's doing better now. Hang in there Kim!!! Just remember, 50% of all doctors graduate in the lower half of their class, and some, like AC just join the local meat cutters union!

Bob - I'll have you know that I worked on three cadavers at the U of Nebr. Medical School in Omaha,,,before they asked me to leave. Said that all I'd ever be was a "butcher". Guess I showed them,,lol. My clients never complained about my surgery procedures,,,,they were already dead!

A/C, I heard they were not cadavers when you started. Kim, sorry to hear Jerry is having so much trouble. Hopefully that will be the end of the troubles. You should have had them check his brain, first, in my humble opinion. lol. Gets some rest and things will be getting better in the near future.

Hope all is well. I'm sure he'll be back to his regular self in no time at all. Tried to call ya'll yesterday, and heard the news. I'm just glad they finally took that thing out. I knew it was coming after New Years. Wishing you all the best, and a super quick recovery. Ron This message has been edited by 01Prowler on 03-19-2005 at 11:43 AM

Well I got Jerry home this morning at 11:00. Seems to be doing a lot better. In some pain, but no where near what he was in the past week. Ron, I heard you called. I told Jerry that he will probably have the flu now. I am sure he will call you in a day or two. Cannot do too much, so sure he will be tying up my phone line. I feel better. Slept for 10 hours and loved it. We have talked to lots of people who have had their gallbladder out. Why don't they just take it out when they are born. Thanks too everyone for listening. My first medical crisis. Now I know what it is all about. I wish everyone healthy lives. Kim ------------------
