That really seems like a good deal. Miles are not that strong.

48K mile on a 10yr old car = 4800 miles per year (low miles)

Didn't see the front of the car in the pics. Does the '94 have the gen 1 or 2 engine?

....if you get seriously interested in the car, let me know....I will tell you the weak points and what to look for and ask about.....I have owned two 94 Vipers, lotsa fun for the $$$...price is right in line for the current market and mileage....they have a few issues that can be expensive if not already taken care of....

Went to Kelly Blue book. For that car with 45000 miles private party sale in good condition is $24800 Not to good to be true. It probably cost $55,000 tops in 94?

Spoons...

the main issues with 94 Vipers....

...first and most serious, the head gaskets leak......some were rebuilt by Arrow under warranty.....drive the car till it is hot, if you smell antifreeze it needs gaskets....very expensive parts and labor....the saying is "if they don't leak, they will"

...fuel filler nozzles...if you smell gasoline, the grommet on the fuel filler neck is leaking at the tank....not real expensive, but a pain just the same

...transmission synchronizers were also a trouble spot.....in the beginning it was necessary to change the tranny, there were no replacement parts....same tranny as a Vette....parts are available these days I am sure....

...exhaust pods/side pods....they tend to blister as if they are rusted....it is a corrosion problem.....DC replaced many of these under warranty then quit doing so because of the expense....approx$4400 for the pair new....I am sure they are available used much cheaper these days....

...soft tops leak, look for rotted carpets or other interior water damage.....

...no big deal, but most/all 94 Vipers have a 4-6 inch crack on the hood...it is a stress related problem....worry only if it DOESN'T have it....

...Basically the cars are very dependable, and a real blast to own.....just look for these things and you will at least LOOK like a pro when you talk to the owner....

Watch out, this vehicle is in Florida. The home of the recent flooding and hurricanes! It would not show up on car fax if the owner did not turn anything into his insurance company.
