Danny Joe battled chemical abuse problems throughout his career and was replaced as lead singer for a period of time. He obviously did more than simply "flirt with disaster". His distinct voice and gutteral growls made the mighty Hatchet instantly recognizable. I hope he has found peace. RIP, Danny Joe Brown. May you find lasting happiness in Gator Country. Kevin
