AND (I REPEAT) and he is the ONLY self made millionaire (in Rock History) by the time he was 16 years of age. Publishing, composing, and some arranging. I'm surprised Halicat hasn't jumped on this.......... Neil Young & Paul Anka are BOTH Canadians. The must be a comeback here somewhere. Anka failed to break into the top 40 after his 70's hits "Having my Baby" & "I don't like to sleep alone". So his run was only 58 through 77 or three (technically) decades. Sorry CJ.

I was surprised that there was more mentioned about his LANDMARK "Modern Time for Country & Western Music" LP. It is a MUST have for any R&B library. His label, manager, A&R staff, financial advisors all told him "If you record this, your career is OVER". That LP copnsisted of" Song ----------- original artist You don't know me -------- Eddie Arnold I can't stop loving you -------- Don Gibson Born to lose -------- Chuck Keeshan Bye Bye Love -------- Everly Brothers Half as Much -------- Hank Williams (SR) That Lucky old Sun -------- Frankie LaineThis message has been edited by Ed W. on 03-14-2005 at 10:55 PM
