If Jimi were still with us, I'm sure he'd be exploring various musical and chemical boundaries. I could see him playing some slow, smokey jazz and blues aka Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk and Coltrane tunes on his guitar. tangled knows his Jimi trivia...I have a rare recording of a silly drunk Jim Morrison staggering onstage and singing All Night Long while Jimi was playing. supposedly it was spontaneous.

hey BT161, Your story reminds me of one I heard many years ago... when Grand Funk Railroad was on their way out... Supposedly the crowd was on them big time at one of their gigs and the Guitar player, Mark sumpthin, Told the crowd to shut up and "if there is anyone in the audience that could do better to come up on the stage " Eric Clapton crawled up on the stage and the crowd went wild !!!! anyone know if this is true ?

I remember the story of when drunk Jim Morrison tried to get onstage when Janis Joplin was singing and she clobbered him on the head with a bottle of JD.Jimi also met his bass player in the army...the one from Band of Gypsies...not Noel Redding...the other guy.
