Sandy's son is moving to the Miami/Dade Co. area next month. He is being hired for the Miami/Dade Co Fire Dept. and he needs a place to stay.
Does anyone have any connections with any rental agents or know of any decent apartments in the area or know of anyone he can contact to find a place. He plans on moving down there after the first of the month. He starts Fire school on 4/11.
Thanks for any help.

Ed,

Have him try www.floridarentfinders.com they helped me find an apartment when I moved down to south Florida years ago. They offer a great service and it's FREE!

Ed,

FL Rent finders are great. I told them the area I wanted to live, the size APT I wanted, the price and they drove me around to all the locations. I signed the paper that day. Worked a lot better than using the newspaper, apartments.com or rent.com They do all the leg work..and it was FREE! Don't for get to have him mention that he is a fireman...might be able to get a discount from the apt complex.

Spoons, Charlie is down there now for the last minute things and is trying to get it finalized. He contacted the people you recommended and they were driving him around today. I don't know the final outcome. He is coming home one more time before he moves down for good.
Thanks for the help, and also thanks for Wally's offer.

Ed,

No problem...FL rent finders is a great company. I Wish more states had a service like that. I needed a service like them when I moved north in 2001...it's hard to find a new place when your new to an area.
