Of course it is still winter in parts of the country, but here is a scene we don't see often this time of the year in southern NM -
No that is not snow, it is hail and it is two o'clock in the afternoon. Where's the sun ? ? ? ? ------------------ More 'Pumpkin' photos . . . . . More cars and other stuff New pictures in Personal Scrapbook (02/23/03) This message has been edited by pumpkin on 02-24-2005 at 08:14 AM |

Flurries today and a high of 45. We have been very lucky so far this year. However, March is just around the corner. |

quote: I have to admit, hearing about snow in New Mexico always makes me happy and long for a road trip. It’s not because I like snow. I lived much of my life around Pittsburgh, Boston, and Rochester NY – I hate the cold. Last Easter, we flew to Pueblo Colorado to pick up our Prowler. Since a snow storm was moving in, we decided to go back via New Mexico, since it’s a dessert and it never snows in the desert. Well, between Las Vegas New Mexico and Santa Fe, (on the very first night we owned the Prowler no less) a blizzard hit, and we crawled for over 3 hours in the snow to Santa Fe. At the time, it was one of the most stressful and unpleasant times. However, when I look back on it, I remember it as one of the greatest times. That was one fun trip, and it made for one hilarious story. Seems like except for getting the Prowler and having dinner in Williams (oh yeah, and that hottie at the rest area :D ), pretty much everything went wrong – and I loved every minute of it. -Dan |

quote: I (Pat) grew up in Binghamton and spent many summers in the Rochester area - Canandiagua/Shortsville specifically. Good times but the winter in NY is why I now live in NM. Norm was born and raised in Detroit and he has the same thoughts about that white stuff (snow ) This message has been edited by pumpkin on 02-24-2005 at 11:47 AM |

quote: As we used to say in Rochester "at least we don't live in Watertown." I met a guy from Syracuse who was complaining about the weather once. I said that to him and he said, "My wife and I are from Watertown, and our families still live there." Doh! -Dan |

Sun is shining today (YEAH!!!) The next system is not due until Monday here. Put in 150 sandbags behind my house in the last 24 hours to try to save the hillside. Oh yeah, and a full moon last night. Great. Escondido California Feb 23, 2005 |
