Would especially like to hear from both Blockbuster AND NETFLIX subscribers! Both companies begin at around $14.95-$17.95 for [3] basic movies at a time, then ya' mail them back & get [3] more...or [5] more...or [8] more--depending on plan subscribed for! With Blockbuster you also get 2 free in-store movies per month! My BIG query is: 1) How is each company for promptness: What kinda lag-time (mailing-time) should I expect with each company? 2) Which is the better/faster--which is slow/has problem?3) Is QUALITY an issue...do ALL their DVDs play well? 4) Which of these 2 companies would y'all recommend and why? If you'd prefer emailing me your experiences, send to: berryk@mont.disa.mil

I guess my biggest concern would be, what if a movie is lost in the mail or stolen before you get it or after you mail it back???????.Are you still responsible for it??? Toys

Toys,I have netflix....If a movie is lost, you are not responsible. If it happens often I guess they would probably cancel your membership.

With netflix, if I put a movie in the mail on Monday, I will probably have a new movie on wednesday. Very fast tur around.

We have had Netflix for about a year or so now and love it. They take about 2 days to get a new movie to you and if the move is damaged or lost then you are not responsible unless it does become a repeated thing. I highly recommend them. I don't know anything about the Blockbuster one. Hope this helps.Christy

We have been with Netflix for two years now and they have been great. The time it takes me to get a movie is only two days. I send mine to Houston, it's only 90 miles from my home. I couldn't tell you anything about blockbuster but I'am sure they are good.

Can't answer this one...........we haven't rented movies in years! I just wait for them to come out on DVD and buy whatever I'm interested in. Don't go to the movie theatres either........it doesn't take that long for them to come out on DVD!

i have troubles when I try to watch a movie....my wife always wait untill there is something important being said critical to the plot.... then asks me something like... "Did you notice the washing machine was making a funny noise ? "... or "What do they have to do with the other guy ? ".. and she always falls asleep 15 min. before the end....and wakes up while the credits are rolling yelling " what happened ?".I try to stick to the hour long programs..

Joined NETFLIX thru the COSTCO internet page and got a $50.00 coupon good on anything in the store, plus first month was free. So far they have been real good with only a two or three day turnaround time. One movie has apparently lost, they said no problem. I have viewed about 8 or 10 and quality has been fine.
