Chrysler is booming, largely due to the success of the 300C....Mercedes declining rapidly(profits decreased 97%), quality problems and losing big $$$ on the Smart car were the reasons stated....

....questionable if the Smart car will be introduced in the USA at this point....Diamler working to restore quality and profitability to the Mercedes brand....

operating profits for '04 were 70% Chrysler and 30% Mercedes...

...looks like the dog is wagging the tail again...
