Chuck,

Fine print at the bottom says the amount of the bid higher than the Fair Market Value of the prizes will be tax deductible. They list the FMV as $146,000. So, it looks like anything you bid higher than that will be tax deductible.

Also, the fine print says this will be a 2005 Charger. Little misleading on the "2006 Volume Production."

Not being a NASCAR fan, I have to wonder what someone will be willing to pay for this?

The picture above is actually a pretty good looking car. It still doesn't say Charger, but the stance and the stripes make it look pretty cool.

Petty blue as a solid color was actually only on Plymouths except for 1958 when it was on an Oldsmobile number 142. By the time he switched to Dodge he was sporting the STP paint job.

I don't know if it will become a collectable or not but with those white stripes it looks great.

Might end up in the $175-200 range. Tooooo rich for my blood.

...Didn't Petty use the blue on the Fords too in 1969, or was it a different blue ???

I wouldn't pay $175000!If your 20 something and keep it in a garage for 40 years what do you think it would be worth? Barrett-Jackson 2045? Under 25 miles!

It's ok looking for a "family car." But it's definitely NOT a Charger...

No I won't be buying one.

Petty's success and charisma sold a ton of Petty blue Furys in this neck of the woods.

I don't know why its $147000 estimated value? The cars value is around $36000-$37000. Phoney body and trip is worth over $100000?
I like the picture Wayne Posted! Looks good with stripes!
