After 10 years of working on the Dart I was trying to get the car done for the World of Wheels in Indy. I have been spending most all my time since getting it back from the body shop in December to finish it and trusted a lady with my interior. Talk is cheap especially when she is a compulsive lier. I was told saturday she had it all done and would bring it Sunday morning to do what needed to be done to the car.

We waited until about 10:00 before we started calling and at 1:00 I went down there. She would not answer the door even though I could here the sewing machine in her garage.

I made it sound as though I left and parked my truck in the street and walked back up to the house. Again I here the sewing machine and knock again, only for the door not to be answered again. I yell to her I can hear her and I want my stuff. The lady opens the door and it isn't the one that was to be doing my interior. She tells me she is helping MARY and that she isn't there. About 5 minutes later MARY comes out into the garage with more stories.

Amy was sewing my stuff and I though my best bet to get the interior finished was to let her finish it. She said she would get it done that day and bring it over either that night or Monday Morning.

Not holding my breath she does not call or come over by 11:00 pm so off to bed. Monday she does not show or call so Sue calls her. She says it is done and she will be over once she gets something to eat, this is about 7:00 Monday night. 11:30 Monday night she shows up with the front seats and bottom of the back. Now the seats are the LAST THING to go back into the interior.

I get home from work at 1:30am Tuesday set to finish installing my completed and delivered interior. Sue hears me come in and meets me in the garage.

I see the front seats and bottom of the back and tell her that was a waste of good material. They look like they would be redone for cheap boat seats. No straight lines, nothing square, not even and on the back instead of cutting and sewing to make a nice install she bunched up the material and ringed it.

I have spent all morning trying to get the rest of my stuff back hoping she has not ruined it. After making 3 trips there and she still was not home I checked to see if the door was unlocked. BINGO, the door was not locked to the garage and I went in and started to collect my stuff. I had most of it in the truck when she pulled i her drive. She kept telling me she was not mad at me, NOW WHY DID SHE THINK I WOULD THINK SHE WAS MAD AT ME? and by the way....IT WASN'T DONE TODAY EITHER

My "OK door panels" are now covered with glue, she stepped on one of my arm rest and broke the tab off it and had the one door panel covered with the material that she was suppose to use but a very poor job.

So after all the extra hours I have put into it just to get it ready for the world of wheels it will miss another show I had wanted to show it at. The 1st show I was trying to have it ready for was the Mopar National in 1995..........I might be able to get it to the 2005 Nationals

ANYONE NEED SOME CHEAP SEATS?

......what the hell was she thinkin' when she sewed those seats up ???....I must admit, in all my years hanging around show cars and such, I have never seen an abomination such as these....

....the bright side, you have plenty of time to the next show and the rest of the car is absolutely outstanding....

....I have seen Wildcats Dart in person, it is absolutely gorgeous......well planned, well executed and extremely well detailed....an automotive work of art...

...didja plant one up her a$$......

That's terrible Larry. How disappointing for you. I hope you find a good shop to get it done right - your Dart deserves better than what the lady did, that's for sure!

looks ok from the picture, but probably not fit for a car...

Do you think those will work for in home duty as an office chair?

Send me some more pics....

WELL THE NEW PLAN

Now I have till the 1st of June to get it finished

complete Exhaust, modify the front fender so I can turn it, get it aligned and the PRE-POWER TOUR SHAKE DOWN

Get the seats taken apart and either redo with the orginal repo covers (I already have) and paint the rear side panels

I have gotten 2 emails about the seats. I will find someone to do them right.

Larry. Restored two 57's (Vette & T-Bird) over a 10 year period. Had many many ups and downs. At the end it didn't matter I had two outstanding cars. When your done the pain will ease.
