I am not positive but I think # 1 is partially wrong, too. I think it is paper with cotton threads in it. That used to foil the counterfeiters but with the new bills, I am not sure. I have not done any research to verify it, one way or another. The tiny threads were colored threads. Now they have other measures to ensure they are real bills.

I hate to continue the trend, but #8 is wrong too. Saw an episode of Myth Busters a few weeks back, and they busted that myth.

However, I was watching Hey! Spring of Trivia yesterday, and learned that some insect chirps cannot be heard over the phone since they are outside of the sound frequency transmitted by phones.

There are no crickets in Ireland. I don't know why, but walking late one night by some fields and not a sound. It was strange.
