Nope .....I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure that we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people.

TSA must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, Teddy Kennedy, an 85 year old Congressmen with metal hips, and a Medal of Honor winner and former Governor, but leave Muslim males between the ages 17 and 40 alone, because of profiling.

As the writer of the award winning story "Forrest Gump" so aptly expressed, "Stupid is as stupid does."

I'm sorry, but if you spend thousands of dollars training your Police Officers on what to look for in people, and you allow them years of experience to practice their craft, you can call it whatever you want to be Politically Correct - but RACE has little to do with PROFILING.

If there is a square peg hanging around a round hole, you would think that our lawmakers would want the people they pay to protect our citizens to have sense enough, and the legal ability, to check it out.

It's time for political correctness to hit the dumpster.

Along the same lines, can we settle this idiotic "ticking time bomb/torture" thing?

Rather than torture a terrorist who could give us information to stop a weapon of mass destruction from being used, are we really going to, for example, let New York City be nuked, let a few hundreds of thousands of people die instantly, let millions more suffered and die over days and weeks from radiation sickness, let our economy (and the world economy) implode in a way much worse than the Great Depression ever thought about being, and bring an end to our constitutional republic and replace it with a military autocracy?

A situation like this is not a college ethics course where one can give a stupidly idealistic "right" answer free from real-world consequences.
