This is indeed sad news. Johnny was the true King of Late Night TV. HIs timing and humor were priceless.

I think Letterman said it best: Those who followed him are mere pretenders.

They said he made 31 million his last year in 1991! For 1991 that was a lot of money. He would be making 90 mill now! He was a heavy smoker, surprised he lasted this long! What he would have lived another 5-10 years if he never smoked? If I make 79 it will be a miracle.
