...no more half million $$$ sportscars, or Viper motorcycle crap, just vehicles people want and can really afford to buy....

...Daytona truck...KOOL....using the left over "Prowler Orange" paint....saving DC $$$ here...
...SRT8...very popular with the crowd....only available in black or silver... no red SRT8???...red paint costs more...again, saving more DC $$$...
...Viper SRT coupe...any Viper draws a huge crowd...I like it far better in person than in the magazines...only available in blue w/white stripes the first year...saving more red paint $$$ for DC....
(ps...watch out Viper...the new Z06 is HOT, HOT, HOT and comes in different colors)
...Charger...nice looking car....spokeslady said the response was about 50/50 on this one...it should have been named the Desoto....evolved from the 300C and saving even more DC styling $$$...
...Crossfires....little crowd interest...
...HEMI 300...everyone lined up to sit in these, even little old ladies....very popular with the crowd...still no red here either ???(saving even more $$$ for DC)...
...Magnum...not as much interest as the 300, but still full of people seeing how many kids they could fit in the back seats...had a red one there ???...
...Jeeps....just plain hard to beat....they come in red too...the Jeep Gladiator I wanted to see was gone, shipped west to be on Spike TV....maybe they should just put all the cars on Spike TV and save thousands of people a trip to Detroit ???....
...minivans and stuff like that....beats me, didn't look at that crap....I can see all those I want filled with screaming kids at the grocery store on Saturday mornings....
...other pickup trucks...didn't look at any of those either...just not a truck kinda guy I guess

a masterpiece, surrounded by stunned gawkers, cameras flashing....designed to be the "Corvette Killer"...

I hope this car really happens.......................

Other highlights...
...Mustangs everywhere...big crowd pleaser....Rousch and Saleen versions are extra hot...
...Ford GT(40)old news....crowd was down...they had one cut in half that got more attention than the whole one...
...Shelby Cobra Daytona concept....beautiful car, looks high dollar....
...Corvettes...the 427 Z06....killer car, MAJOR HIT HERE...all C6 Vettes there were very popular....
...SSR...NO ONE was checking it out....I watched it for a long while, and NO ONE !!!..but,in all fairness, it is several years old now....
...Chevy DDR/HHR/HRR??? whatever the he11 it is called, the PT Cruiser copy cat....I honestly like it better than the PT...I just don't need that type vehicle myself, but it will be a hit ...lots of crowd interest here....
...Jaguars...all were "frog green" or silver....nice cars but their display sucked....
...Hummers were big crowd pleasers as usual....don't understand that phenomena either...ain't nothin'like a hummer !!!...

...lots of other neat things and some horribly hideous concept cars...

...and last but not least....even the extra cost "red paint" Pontiac used on the new GTO didn't do the trick....people walked by not realizing they were in the presence of an automotive legend....the "Tiger" had it's head down and it's tail between it's legs all day.....

...these are my own opinions...so, if you don't like them, drive to Detroit and write your own story....
