There's a place here in Michigan that has a lot of VWs sitting around. I'm not sure if they do restoration or is just a parts and service place. If you are interested, I can find out. |

Thanks for the reply CJ. I found a guy in Green Bay but that's about 450 miles one way, Detroit is about the same so don't check yet. Thanks This message has been edited by kat hunter on 01-06-2005 at 06:52 PM |

Another excellent source, a friend of our local Prowler club, is Frenchy Dehoux of Phoenix. He is a world renown rebuilder of old VW bugs, and has been featured in many VW magazines. I have seen four or five of the VW cars he has taken from total junk to making them look like they just came off the assembly line. The guy is awesome with his work. Try this email address for advice and tell him Prowler Larry said to ask: frenchy@wolfsburgregistryphx.com Links to a few of his restorations: |

Here's a good VW site on the web. Perhapse they woudl have some ideas. Just keep in mind that WHealy is a pretty generic user name and many others have used it ... yeah... that's the ticket. This message has been edited by whealy on 01-07-2005 at 07:33 AM |
