When I think Roller Coaster, I think Cedar Point. Besides it's in north west Ohio .. matches the snow. There web site with what I beleive is this coaster is located here. And here's one of their pics. ... and so no way for me! |

I think Whealey is correct. It is right on the lake and that is a lake in the one picture. Sandy may have already ridden it. I wouldn't get on that for all of Mike K's Prowlers. Sandy would go in a heartbeat. |

the only bummer is that it looks like 'up/down' ride's over... I like the other kind shown there, where you are seated and strapped in from the top... more of a 'flying' sensation |

We've been on all the other coasters at Cedar Point. Here's a link showing the heights/speeds of this ride and their other tall coasters: http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/ttd/photo/height.cfm Here's link to video: scroll down to third pic, click on video linkm on right: This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 12-21-2004 at 08:02 AM |

I thought that was Cedar Point. I grew up near Pittsburgh, PA, but haven't been to Cedar Point in several years. I'd ride that in a second! |

I grew up in Toledo and worked two summers at Cedar Point. Great job as a kid. You would not catch me near a coaster now though. |

I like coasters but that's a little to radical for me! Mike no way...Just for info, don't want to burst anyone's anticipation, but Mom lives in Cleveland Ohio and the papers have lots of articles on several of the coasters, accidents, rides closed more than open, poorly maintained. When we've talked about accidents or closings that have happened, the web site doesn't have anything about it all. |

Judy, good point. We get some of those stories but I am sure we do not see all of them. It is similar at Kings Island. They open a new coaster and two weeks later it is shut down for inspection for the rest of the season. I don't do coasters any more since I had a disk fusion in my neck but Sandy saw the pic of the coaster and went "Oh Yeah". You all probably figured out she didn't have any sense or she wouldn't be hanging out with me, but I have to second that. No way, Jose, am I getting on that thing. |

Ed - since you won't get on the rides, you'll have time to be the event planner for a POA event there. All you have to do is a pick dates for the event, contact Cedar Point for a group rate, find a hotel, map out cruise routes, find restaurants, arrange a cruise/ferry to Put In Bay and the Winery, ....... : |
