My continuing education series on farming down here in Bayou country.... About two years ago, I posted some pics on the process of making sugar... Well, here's how the sugarcane is cut before it's transported to the sugar mills.
This is a Cat Challenger with 20' choppers to flat chop the land... I'll be learning how to operate this tomorrow... We brought our fuel tank out this morning... We have D6 dozer and 320 Trackhoe coming out later this week... This is what you might call - Developer on the job training ... Very Interesting. My father-n-law leases out wheat and soybean sections in Colby Kansas. Farming is hard honorable work. How will the D6 and trackhoe contribute to the cane harvest? |
