From reading through old posts, I noticed that there was a competing (?) prowler website (PPC)? Will someone please describe issues that went on? Sorry to discuss old issues, but I want to know what happened. Thanks

put "Nowell Herman" in the search feature and you'll find a lot of reading concerning your question.

Suffice it to say that many of us had "issues" with the old PPC.

Did that, got all my questions answered. It's really nice that Mike K. doesn't charge us for prowleronline, even though I'm sure it costs a lot to upkeep such a great website. I can't believe someone really had a competing website that charged money for someone to become a member.

Orange ... actually ... it all started with the PPC and there was to be a magazine (Prowl) and many great things ... well ... also many internal issues, so ... POA came to the rescue of all us otherwise wayward Kat owners and all the happier too. Just a little more info for ya!

Although this is a free site, It does take alot to keep it going. Thats why you see the little stars under users names. Everyone can get involved!

Orange - it wasn't so much about Nowell charging a yearly fee to belong,,,,,,it was he couldn't keep his word on the promises he made. He definitely looked out for himself and wanted to make a profit,,,even if it meant lying to us. If you said something negative about the website or him,,,,he would delete the post entirely. We changed the channel. This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 11-18-2004 at 10:41 PM

I got nothing from Nowell. Always told me my Prowler kit was 'just' mailed out,,,,right. If you lived west of the Mississippi River, he didn't care about you getting the items promised. I guess he mailed my kit twice, but still waiting for the delivery nearly five years later.

And here I was beginning to warm up to you Orange ... <sigh> ... RPL is worried about the Canadian 407 thief .... hell Nowell and Johnny probably DESIGNED that plan! Too funny ... Yes, that discussion forum was like watching CBS news during the elections ... very biased, one-sided and censored 100%! LOL

Well, in all honesty, you have never been a pain to me, so I shouldn't say anything. I'm sure there are enough people here who do have the right to say something...

Guys go easy here. You're messing with my friend Ray. That's the guy that we have dinner with every time that he comes to Detroit or Woodward Dream Cruise. Heck, I think that we've even been ask to leave by the local police at least once. This board was founded on free speech. Everyone has the right to express their opinion. You may choose to read it or not. But people for everyone's stake, don't make opinions personal. This is about ideas and potions not parentage. The NBA has a thing or two to learn about respect. Let's keep things above the belt. I like Ray. I don't always like or agree with his opinions but God love America, he's welcome to them.

Thank you Bob ... I don't recall the police part, but ... it's "all" good =) And yes, it was just after CAAP I where Mike K. and I met for the first time, and the PPC hypocricy was at its peak that Mr. Krehel (along with another?) thought "there has to be a better place for Prowler owners to share information, ideas and yes, even opinions freely and without reprisal from a 'moderator'". Thus the POA was 'born'. I don't get ruffled as some may think by what people may say ... many on here talk out of both sides of their mouths quite frankly ... at least I am consistent (like it or not).Say, Bob ... Chicago tolls DO suck, and we have crappy roads as well - go figure ... but I hear that tolls in PA, NJ amd NY are even steeper! I was also amazed at how crappy the roads were out in the LA area ... freeways mostly, and they don't have the drastic climate change or heavy salting to contribute their condition either. God Bless freedom of speach!

Ray, it was the police chief of Pleasant Ridge, Michigan personally inviting us to leave our parking place along Woodward one night. Maybe we were thrown out while parked waiting for you to catch up.
