Reading some posts from and addressed to dp, it appears in some respects we may have another weekly episode of the MJF incident last week.

Some people have already made comments along those lines.

I am curious how people really feel about it.

From my perspective there is a certain entertainment value.
I learned (after some frustrations of my own) that I can choose to ignore people or posts I don't want to read. It took some changing in my thought process, but as long as there are no personal attacks, whatever!

On the positive side, dp has pretty much kept his post in the correct section - better than a lot of long standing members even AND he actually owns a Prowler.

His writing style, although not seen here often and not one I personally enjoy reading, is not uncommon on numerous other forums.

On the negative side - the name calling is really not needed.

My question is where do we draw the line? You can't ban everybody that you don't agree with - most of us would be gone. Do we ask people to respect our site and learn to conform to some basic guidelines we follow? Or do we let a few of the people who get ticked at a particular newbie light into them and run them off? Although I can't speak for MikeK I feel pretty sure he doesn't like having to act like a kindergarten teacher.

I know I kid and joke a lot, but this time I really wonder how others feel. dp just happens to be the newbie of the week that seems to irritate some people.

I am NOT trying to win a T-shirt. I know there is no longer any contest. Besides, it is the end of the week anyway.

We agree with you Marty.

We know there are lots of people out there that have never had typing and to use a computer, they just do hunt and peck and it seems like their train of thought can get scrambled trying to type. We are also on lots of other forums and see this a lot, and there is always someone that has to be critical - we just say let it go! If you really can't understand what they are trying to get across, ask them, don't be critical.

We are not here to get our spelling and grammer graded, if that were the case we'd probably all flunk.

Maybe, if there is this type of controversy between a couple of folks in the future, maybe they should just log into the chatroom and have at it and leave the rest of us out of it (and save some bandwidth at the same time).

I agree with you. Typing, punctuation and grammar are far down on the list of what this site is all about. Diversity is a great asset to any group, but to achieve that end we all must respect each others opinions and contributions. Name calling, derogatory remarks and arguments has never been productive in any group.

He really does have his good moments but also he sorta looses it big time,,,I would let him go and see what is in store for us in the Future...

Marty and others I can see your concerns. Give someone enough rope they will hang themselves.

I hope we all can get to the calmer waters and start the Prowler season off with a Bang.

Have a great weekend everyone...

Marty,
Good post.
If one does not like a certain writing style they don't have to read it nor respond to it. If you try reading it and can't understand it move on.
Lets not be become a critics that attacks or insults ones education, age or lack of communication skills.
I myself don't have a problem with any of the posts. (Grammatically) The manner by which he defensively responded may have been wrong. But one must consider the source (reasons).

The next thing we will be doing is bashing the individual styles of what we do to our CARS.(Spinning wheels, and Hiboy looks) I personally don't like the Hiboy look...Gary C, just pulling your chain...
I am certain there are more important thing in our lives we need to take care of than worrying about writing styles.
Like Gary said, have a great Prowlin weekend.
Dan G.

Gary - I ENDED last season with a "Bang". I sure don't want to start that way - I just want it to start!
