I know that this is not the place for this question, but I remember seeing a post a few months ago, were someone had listed the manufacturer & p/n for the ceramic brake pads for the PT Cruiser. I'm down in Florida visiting my parents, and am trying to assist my dad in cleaning his rims of all the brake dust. I tried a search for it, but came up with nothing. Any assistance would be appreciated. And, is there such a pad for the rear disc brakes? This message has been edited by SPCL-T on 03-15-2003 at 09:03 AM |

I still have not put ceramic on mine but I tried to do it last year. The pads that fit the first PTs did not fit my 2002. I just cleaned up the rims yesterday and so this is a very timely subject. I will check into this new number and see if they fit. I went to AutoZone and it says the 2002 pads are not yet available but the 841 number is for the 2001. I would suggest looking at the pads on the car before you remove them and then look at the pads at the car part place while you are still there. Let me know if you find any that fit. Pretty sure that the 2003 Pt's and the turbo do not have ceramic pads as yet. |

http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/002026.html I knew that Laddie had posted about this but couldn't find it. I just went to KY Motors and they claim that 2001 and 2002 are the same so maybe I just got the wrong ones from Tire Rack. I ordered a set for Sandy's 2001 and will see if they fit my 2002. Won't get them until Mon or Tue. |

Anyone got an update? I put a set on Sandy's 2001 and will try to take a look at my 2002 on Friday to see if they are indeed the same pads. |

I looked at the 2002 pads and they are exactly the same as the 2001, except the edges on the 2002 are beveled. Sorry about the misinformation I posted previously. Last year I was sent the wrong pads by tire rack or parts rack, apparently. I ordered a set of ceramics for my car today. |
