The Porsche Cayenne went on sale today and all the dealers had some kind of party.
I took a ride over to my local Porsche dealer thinking that I would have a free bite to eat and take a look at one of these.
I've thought that originally the Cayenne was a bit bazarre looking and I wasn't really interested in looking at one until now, WOW!!!
First, in person, they look a lot better than the pictures and then I was asked if I would like to drive one. Well let me tell everyone that if you get the oportunity to do so, DO!
This is the greates all around car/truck that I've ever driven, period. Very Fast, very comfortable, and an unbelievably handling SUV or whatever it is.
If you didn't notice the ride height, youd swear that you were in an all wheel drive 911.
Everyone, do yourselves a favor and drive one if you can, it's the neatest vehicle.

I also drove the new Cayenne yesterday, hoping not to like it. It is way better than the pictures with a car-like ride and Porsche 911 power and handling. Plus, it has a tow capacity of over 7,000 lbs! Since I moved from NJ I didn't think I would ever need a 4-wheel drive again, but this has definately changed my mind. Probably the best all around 4-wheeler out there. Porsche is hoping to eventually sell 15,000 per year. Worth a look and a drive.

It is also built on the same platform with the new VW sport utility (which obviously will be less expensive).

I'm one of the first in line for the turbo Cayenne. Depending on the wait time for someone to buy one, I may sell it.

Saw one today also--sits up high!! 444 HP WOW-I don't like Porsche. Not sporty enough for me. SUV's just look like Mommy-mobiles When Mercedes first came out with the New SUV design for (1998 i think) i saw the concept at Indy 500 it was great. When they finally made it it was totally different (Ruined) Why Cayenne isn't it PEPPER!!!!

Before you dismiss it as a "mommy" car you really should drive it.
Drove the Turbo yesterday and all I can say is a big WOW!!
Unreal. A rocketship in a tank body.
By the way Yellow fever, yes they are built off the same platform as the VW but that's about it. Everything from the wheels up, motor, etc, is different. They don't drive similarly and don't look alike. Both of them, for all intent and purpose, are totally different automobiles.

I'm sure its fast!!should be with 440 HP. Its looks don't excite me.. I'd rather have a Hummer2 just my opinion,
