One of the children that went to Prowlin the Sea had a fun looking pair of shoes that actually had rollers in them. Ashlee (our granddaughter) and I are looking for a pair and we're looking for some feed back on the pair he had, if he liked them and did they have one roller in front only or two? We've not found what we're looking yet. |

Mrs Judy, Both my kids liked the ones I got them. They were the Hammachers with the single wheel in the back. I chose them because of the more tennis shoe like sole and not the hard plastic some of them have. I bought Mallorie a cheap pair from Sears once but they had wheels frt and back. The wheels were hard plastic and unless she was on concrete, her feet slipped out from under her......the Hammachers are the way to go if you judge by the smiles..... Don |

Thanks Don, that's one we haven't looked at yet. We did try the single back wheel that Academy carries and they were cheap and plastic. We've got a pair on order, waiting for arrival. I'll check out Hammachers as well, Thanks, Say hello to Mallorie for me |

They're called "Wheelies". My son has gone through 2 pairs. Here in SoCal, most of the big sporting goods chains have them - SportMart, Sports Chalet, etc. Also, some of the bigger surf n sport stores have them. Don't get the knock-offs - they break very easily. They "Wheelies" are pretty well-built and last well (and so they should at about $100). If you get really stuck, tell me what sizes you need, and I'll see if I can get 'em here and send them to you. No child should be without the latest and greatest... |

$100? Can you change the wheels when they wear out? Which should be often since they are so small. My vote would be for an inexpensive pair of inliners. Here is a neat trick with inliners. You want the best and fastest pair but, don't want to pay $300+?? I buy a fairly inexpensive pair (usually around $30 or less) and then buy the speed bearings (about $20). Now, I just transfer the bearings to the next set when I need a new pair. You may/may not look like the $300 pro set but, you'll definitely keep up with them. |

I think it was Linda Ronstadt or maybe Melanie who had the key. It has been too many years for me to remember. |
