I'll be in San Diego this Thurs thru Sunday. Can anyone reccommend any local attractions? So far, I've got the Zoo, SeeWorld and the ocean. I suspect there's more...

There is also the Wild Animal Park (I like it better than the zoo), depending on the age of visitors there is Legoland, Balboa Park (any or all of the museums), Sea Port Village (near downtown).

There are so many places to visit...depends on what you like to do.

WHAT? You're going to skip our wonderful cruise nite for a trip to San Diego?????? What is up with that? LOL ~ you know I'm kidding Curt. Hope you have a great time! I hear all sorts of raves about LegoLand. Plus, if you get a chance, take a drive over to Coronado Island...it's beautiful.

Curt - since you are weaseling out on the Az local event this weekend, I'd suggest you visit Tijuana, Mex. Park on the US side, in the pay-parking lot, and walk across. While crossing over the border bridge,,,,notice the smell of urine, it will surely test your morning breakfast. Be sure to carry lots of cash,,,the pick pockets will appreciate that from you! And while spending three or four hours over there,,,,,the local Chula Vista drugees will be unloading your vehicle of any valuables! These are the memories from my 1988 trip there.

Hey Curt, you got to plan those get-a-way vacations "around" our events, not on them

Two things you need to check out.. Balboa park is a must has an excellent car museum and an air space museum. Downtown there is a classic car dealer (on 5th Ave) with a showroom full of great cars from exotics to a $1,000,000 + '27 Rolls built for the Maharaja. I will be out there from Tuesday to Sunday on Business. I always find time to check out what's new at the showroom downtown. Some of the best restaurants are on 5th ave in the gaslamp district. Best seafood.. The fish market on harbor drive (upscale restaurant, excellent food)

We really enjoyed the view from Cabrilla National Monument. It is an elevated point that wraps around Coronado Island. It is a ridge and you can see the ocean and the bay.

One more Place is the Hotel Del Coronado, a little south of San Diego, Thomas Edison wired the place and the Movie, Some like it Hot was filmed there, EXTREMELY Classy Place...

Also TJ is always an option if you like Mexico and culture shock....

Well, I amde it back from San diego - but now I'm in Chicago - impromptdu business trip. I've benhere a week and haven't seen a single Prowler.
Hey Debbie - I got your Kahlua but since I was over my limit on booze, I couldn't go thru customs so I had to swim across the Tijuana River. I almost got deported. You owe me BIG!
