if you are not seriously interested in buying that item, please keep your negative comments to yourself.the section is called classified adds not wether you like it or not.how would you like it if lets say you had your car for sale and i posted something saying i dont like that car it looks like s---,even thou i have no intenion of buying it.its for sale, not do you like it or not.your comment are not needed.in the future that would be appreciated, because at this time i may never again offer something forsale.buy the way that yellow spoiler is installed and the car looks absolutely beautiful with it.sold it locally.enough said.i do this as a courtesy to other owners, because i can get things at great prices.

I agree completely Jan.It seems that there is always someone wanting to offer some comment or "expert opinion" about almost everything that is posted. Like Jan says, these are ads. Let the buyer decide to purchase the item or not. It's just plain none of your business and your opinions and tastes may not be the only ones out there. If you aren't planning to purchase the item or if you don't like the item, please just ignore it. Give the sellers a break and don't offer your opinions unless asked to do so. If the prospective buyer wants or needs advice, they should make a post in the off topic area asking for help or opinions. "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"

Couldn,t agree with you more! Negative feedback is subjective and should be kept that way!

I’ll sign this petition too….I understand that the point of this thread is not to tick anyone off about this issue… But just think before you post. The Classified Ads section is meant for business transactions. There are other forums available for posting opinions and having debates. We might be able to have the site administrators set up the classified section so that the topic author is the only one who can reply or edit. Others could still post questions via private messages or other discussion forums... I'll run this idea by M. Krehel... I know there has already been talk about doing this sort of thing with the "upcoming events" forum.

I'm onboard also. If its in the FREE CLASSIFIED section, there is no need for negative, unsolicited opinions. People reading that type of stuff my refrain from advertising their 'for sale' items......thus depriving those of us who might be interested. We should be able to keep the slams, bashes, fouls, and low blows contained within the main two discussion forum areas. JMOThis message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 02-25-2003 at 09:31 PM
