Sorry, I still don't believe in magic. Every possible answer is a multiple of 9, for example 9, 18, 27, 36, 45 etc. Each of these multiples has the same symbol. There is no such thing as magic.

LOL - if it didn't work for you, you didn't add correctly

If your answer wasn't 81, 72, 63, 54, 45, 36, 27, 18, 9, or 0, get out the calculator - and yes, all those numbers have the same symbol

BTW - the symbol changes each time around (for those numbers only).

OK, it does work. I was looking at the symbol next to number I started with on the first try. No wonder it didn't work. It's still not magic, just a puzzle.
