Kat Daddy.....
...used to run the racing fuel in a '69 Daytona a few years back....found that a mix of about 40% "blue" and 60% super unleaded got real good results, and saved a bunch of cash....also ran the same mix in a HEMI with great results....think it was about $3. per gallon at the time....the Daytona had a well built 440 and really came to life with the racing fuel !!! How about some pix of the 'Birds...........PLEASE

I'm a gas and oil distibutor. Exxon, Citgo, BP and unbranded.

Rack (wholesale-my cost) rose anywhere from 3.75 cents to 5.45 cents per gallon, depending on the supplier/refiner yesterday alone.

Industry journals blame the increases on crude prices, refinery maintenance, huge distillate demand (home heating oil - colder winter), etc.

I know for a fact huge amounts of #6 oil (fuels many large vessals, such as Naval ships) and Jet A (aircraft fuel)are being shipped and stored in water terminals along the east coast.

Prices are probably going to continue to rise until issues with Iraq are finalized.

Just so you know my TAXED DELIVERED COST (what I have in it at the station tank) today for Exxon unleaded (lowest octane) is 1.4788 in North Carolina. NC taxes are about avg. with CT on the high end and GA on the low end. My avg. retail is about 1.499.

Chuck,
The 30,000 gallons of water that it will take to fill it will cost about $1200. Thats about 4 cents a gallon. Doesn't that make a whole lot more sense?????

Our company pays a car allowance each month plus all gasoline. I had to get special permission to use premium (93 octane) as they want to only pay for regular. Now if I can just get them to pay for tires and then modifications, and.....
