Cannot control my teens time gaming online with new PC. He's doped-up, seems to be spending more time with those bytes than anything else. He is to the point of loosing interest in other healthy activities. Can I limit accessibility times/days of specific users in XP (or use of particular applications)? Did homework in MS discussion groups. Seems possible, but my many attempts were not successfull. Any suggestions? |

Not a very high tech suggestion, but take the keyboard and power plug to work with you... |

Give it a bios password (this is even before it asks for a username/password). PC is totally useless unless they have it. If he wants to play games, fine, you have to logon for him. Oh yeah, and don't give him the bios password or let him watch you logon. |

If the kid is smart it will take him 2 minutes to get past the "super secure" BIOS password. Step 1 - Unplug the computer and open the case. One downfall to this is that you will know that the password has been deleted (reset). Best bet is to go with some time-management software and give a reasonable amount of time for usage. ------------------ |
