David, have you chipped your car? If so, which one? Have your tried or heard of the Diablo chip? I'm thinking of chipping, air intake, and pulleys are the only things I am going to do to mine. |

I just recieved an ALERT from the Houston Auto Dealers Assoc. that HPD just busted up an auto theft ring that was responsible for a "recent rash of Harley Davidson Truck thefts" along with other vehicles it says. If anyone has any information regarding a recent theft they can contact Officer M. Ingles of HPD auto division @ 713-308-3596 or 713-308-3576. hope this hasnt happened to any friends or family!!!!!! I have a friend who has a plain 150 and bought Harley badging off e-bay. quite a coup considering you need a VIN to order the 150 Harley badging legitimately! Congrats on your truck YF! |

Are you aware of the rod issue with some early 2002's NO... the motor in HD is the same motor as the lightning with a smaller pulley the engine hasn't changed in two years so there aren't any early or late editions..the pulley is the reason that HD is rated at 340hp and the L is rated at 380hp ... just keep in mind that hp rating is at fly wheel not rear... stock HD is about 313 at rear wheel... ------------------ davidn |

quote: It is a recall issue with Lightenings/Harleys built between February and May of 2002. Does not affect previous years or 2003's (according to the thread) |
