My Dad will be visiting next week. He is a die hard gearhead like me...well...like all of us. He wants to go to the Petersen museum or Nethercutt and we probably don't have time to see both. (Might be too late to get a tour booked at Nethercutt?) This message has been edited by lavka on 01-06-2003 at 10:28 PM |

The Petersen vs the Nethercutt?? Each one is a great place to vist and enjoy. The Petersen has a larger assortment of cars and is more gear head minded while the Nethercutt is more like a gallery of beautiful Grand Classic works of art and also houses a collection of hood ornaments and mechanical musical instruments. Personally, I favor the Petersen because of the wide variety of cars and the way they are displayed. Fortunately for you, right now the Petersen is featuring the Million Dollar Cars. I've been to the Million Dollar Car exhibit and highly recommend it. The Petersen also houses a hands on learning center on the third floor as well as street rods, race cars, celebrity cars, and motorcycles throughout the building. It really depends on what you are looking for. You will definitely have a great time at either collection. This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 01-06-2003 at 11:33 PM |
